Will and I married Dec. 28, 1963, and he then
completed his last semester at U.T. I completed my
degree at U.T. after we married, with about 2-1/2
years remaining. Right about the time our second
child would be born, Will completed his master's in
banking. His accounting degrees have served him
well, as he's been very successful in the banking
industry for nearly 45 years. He spent 43-1/2 years
with JPMorgan-Chase (many other names along the
way), and took a new position last June with First
State Bank of Central Texas. FSB headquarters are
out of Temple, but Will's responsibilities are here in
the Austin area.

We have three children, two sons and one daughter.
The elder son, wife, and four children live in Waco,
where he is a professor of engineering at Baylor. Our
daughter, husband, and two children live here in
Austin. She works from home with IBM. Younger son,
wife, and 2-1/2 children also live here in Austin,
where he is with Dell.

After our youngest completed third grade, I taught
high school math at a private school here in Austin
for 19 years. I retired 6 years ago this May.

So, as you can see, we haven't moved around a lot!
In fact, we lived in the same house for 34 years, and
then moved across the street! It's hard to keep up
with some people.
We both try our best to stay in shape, but it's
always an uphill battle. Will works out faithfully at
the fitness center, and I've slowed down from
running to power walking. Of course, I listen to
audio books while I work out because I can't
imagine doing only one thing at a time.

We've had black Labradors for as many years as I
can remember. Will likes to hunt, and I like to train
the dogs, so we make a good team. Normally, we
always have two, but currently, we have an only
child, Miss Sadie.

Eight little grandchildren keep us pretty busy, and,
of course, we love that. The Lord has truly blessed
us, and we are most grateful!

What I've written seems greatly oversimplified to
describe our many years together...maybe I should
have gotten Will to write a "not so brief" overview!
We've appreciated all the work Judy P.S. has done
over these MANY years, and thank Jan for her hard
work in this new venue!! Truly, our class is most
unusual, and it's incredible to think we're all
turning 65 some time this year! Who would have
ever thought we'd still be in contact? We consider
ourselves most fortunate to be a part of the Class
of '60.
