Feb. 3 from Lila:

Hey, Jan. nice hearing from you
and as a matter of fact I am going
to New Jersey for my grand-
daughter Rylie's 10th birthday and
will be there until February 26. I
was so excited tonight as I had my
first 600 series since I broke my
elbow and had surgery. I have
been struggling barely bowling 400
series. Tonight I had a 181, 182 and
a 242 for a 605!! I just love the
game and glad to be bowling
better! Our weather here in El
Paso has been in the high 60's and
70's so not sure what the weather
will be in New Jersey! Take care
and always like to hear from you!
Feb. 8 from Morris:

Hello, JanBee:  Three things:  On 01.18, I had
a very mild diabetic stroke, which kept me out
of wack for about 9 days.  I'm better now!
On 02.01, my son, Morris II, was promoted
to the rank of CW4 (same as a LtCol in pay and
responsibility).  He did this in 17 years, 10
months, from Private E1 to CW4/W4.  That
achievement was my goal in 1969, which did
not happen for me.  I'm very proud of him, and
glad to be living with him, Jacque, and Ross,
to enjoy this achievement.
Lastly, the contract on the house I signed
on 11.12.11 was breached 4 times by the lady
buyer after I moved out.  Another woman has
screwed me big time.  I have signed another
contract this morning, for less money, and am
on the way to fax, then mail, it.  Hopefully, by
March 9th, I will be a one dwelling owner (La
Veta, CO).  I plan to be at Belton on June 8-9,
and hope my health will not interfere with my
700 mile trip down.  Later! Geezer
Feb. 8 from Jimmie Nell:

Walking out on the back patio overlooking
beautiful Lake Belton, I wondered why I felt so
blue. Then streaking across the lake right in front
of my eyes was a beautiful bald eagle, screeching
his loud shrill. I had spotted the eagle before but
never so close. As it flew higher and higher up in
the sky, I picked up my binoculars and suddenly I
realized that my dear friend Jane was in Heaven
and that it had been a whole year since I had had
the wonderful privilege of hearing her sweet
voice. Seeing the eagle soar higher and higher, I
felt a peace come over me. So from Jane to the
eagle, thanks for giving me the grace to know I'm
OK and you're OK.
                     With love, Jimmie

Jane passed away on Feb. 13, 2011.
Feb. 16 from Gary:

Sadly, but without requisite remorse, I
am unable to celebrate the anniversary
of my birth at this time. “Big Brother”
has shown the determined audacity to
suspend for redaction my indubitable
birth certificate due to my presumed
iniquitous temerity regarding the
believed ersatz document produced to
support the birth of a certain nefarious
notable personage who may have
spurious intentions to cause mayhem
and bogus consequences.

Once I am able to redintegrate the
veracity and specificity of my
happenchance physical arrival and
pedigree, I will be only too glad to
receive the conciliations and well
wishes of others for my erstwhile
attempts at instructed forbearance.
