Today, January 28, 2010, I finally got in touch with Norma! She and
her husband Frank had just gotten home from their usual winning
day in Atlantic City, but she was very gracious to let me do a quick
interview.
Norma was born in Belton, moved to San Saba, then came back
during the second or third grade. She was good friends with
Shirley W. from the Class of '59, and has remained in touch with
her over the years.
After graduation, she married Frank and moved to New York,
where they made their home for years. They now live in New
Jersey. They had three children, but a son has already passed
away. Daughter Cindy lives nearby, and son Frank lives in
Brooklyn. They have a 9-year-old grandson who Norma says is "a
houseful."
Rather than working outside the home, she mostly stayed home
and cared for their son.
Her favorite T.V. show is the daytime soap, Days of Our Lives. She
keeps active by playing Frisbee and walking.
Norma won't be able to come to our Fiftieth, and we will miss her!
