Thanks so much for all your efforts in setting up
this website---it is wonderful and a lot of fun
checking in and seeing the results of what our
class is sending in to you.

I am including a few highlights of our family. After
living in Garland for the past 34 years, Nancy and I
recently moved into Dallas. The location is
great---close to family, church, and a lot of
entertainment. Speaking of family, we have three
grown children, Craig, Jeff, and Leslie, and four
grandchildren. Craig, an attorney, and his wife Jana,
an attorney, have two boys, Campbell, 6, and
Andrew, 3. They live in Dallas about 10 minutes from
us. Leslie, a speech pathologist now heading a
therapy department in a large retirement facility,
and her husband Chris, in commercial real estate,
also live about 10 minutes away in an area of Lake
Highlands in Dallas. Jeff and his wife Bonny live in
Austin, Bee Cave in southern Austin. Jeff is a
manager with Merck pharmaceuticals and Bonny is
at home with Russell Y., 5, and Caroline, 2. We are
lucky and frequently see all of them.

I still maintain my dental practice in Garland and
plan to continue work for several more years.
Fortunately my career in dentistry and our family life
in Garland/Dallas have been wonderful. I look
forward to more of the same with our growing family.

I have included a few pictures of the Baker clan,
and again, THANKS TO EVERYONE for the
"catch-up" news. (Jan will send contact info to
classmates via e-mail.) We would love hearing from
classmates, and let us know if you are ever in the
Dallas area!!

Best regards,
Dick

Richard and Nancy: Our family is
fortunate to have a special
"get-away" every summer.  My
brother owns a beach home on
Daufuskie Island, S. C., across the
channel from Hilton Head. Our 3
children and the 4 grandchildren
and my brother and his wife spend
a week in June here every
summer.  It is such a special time
that "cousins" when little are
looking forward to a special week
together.  In the photo on the
right, my brother is the
"grey-headed" guy next to me.
Russell, our 5-year-old grandson,
with leukemia is second from the
left.  He will complete his
treatment this coming Oct. '08 (3
years 2 months).  He is doing great
and we are so blessed to have our
family always share in this trip.
Hope all are having a great
summer.
